THE RANT Without a doubt there are numerous instances similar to the one I choose to write about. Without a second doubt those writings are full of phrases like; "You don't know...", or "How could you?". While an absence of a third doubt brings about the equally colloquial; "I am done with you.", or "We are over.". A lesson in fear for writers. Fear is a valuable emotion, never forget to include it if you want to really keep a reader hanging on to every word on the page. It doesn't matter what the overall feel of what you are writing happens to be, incoporate fear into the story and readers will pay much more attention to it. Try it for yourself, a writing exercise: write something emotional, heartfelt, and soaring. Then write something that plays on a widely known fear. I'm going to wax political here. I recently read an article which I will sum up. Yes, I realize that summing up an article will just lead to further argument, however I see no reason to quote the article in it's entirety. This article stated that, "Whether we like it or not, the choice this year looks to be between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.", and "I believe it is now the duty of American voters to assess these two candidates and decide which one is likely to inflict less harm on the planet and its people. Fallen Soldier Crawling through the desert, and kneeling in the jungle. Avoiding sniper fire, always waiting for the ambush. No Purple Heart or Medal of Honor. Simple Service, order obeyance. Completing missions, HALO drops, All for God and country. Coming in tight and low, AA abounds. Getting there less than half the battle, the rest is getting out. Fog I meet your eyes and the Fog descends. Without warning, all else fades. No distractions, you have my complete attention. Simple two, loneliness silently flies away on wings of silk. With no hint of return. My eyes embrace you. Then you speak. A symphony that surrounds. An original arrangement, written for me alone. I simply stare, unable to speak. New Place.

You may (or may not) have noticed a severe lack of content here lately.  I have a good reason for that.  I haven't really done anything new as of yet, what with moving and settling in, as of yesterday a new job (Whoo!  Consistent money!).  I have a few older pieces that I could transfer over to digital format to share, but I really haven't felt up to it. A new place means new and different opportunities, I've taken a D.J. position with an internet radio station.  I've only had one shift so far, but stay 'tuned' to DA here and I'll post a schedule.  If you want to check it out I'll be at www.clawradio.net.  I just recently got an inspiration

Let's go again

The time has come, yet again, to pull up stakes and move.  This will be the third time over the course of a year and a half that I've taken a trip across the southern part of the country.  Here's hoping Oklahoma is more congenial than Florida.  While I'm sure that Florida has it's good points, I am excited to be leaving here.  I've burned through three jobs in the year and a half I was here and none of them permanent.  The time for securing the future in some way has come, in all honesty that time has been around before, I just thought I'd leave it for later, but no more.
